Life Well Travelled

Took Cathay Pacific to Paris and experienced their "life well travelled" mantra and award winning service as soon as I boarded. Was upped to first class (how cool is that!? Still freaking out!!!) and as soon as I was taken to my 2A "suite" (they don't call it seats!), I was in plane heaven. No overhead lockers up front too, only personal closets! They offered me a drink of my choice paired with amuse bouche. There were pajamas, slippers, an Aesop amenity kit and Bose noise cancelling headphones to make the 12 and a half hour journey more comfortable. 

After take off, I was amazed at the food choices ranging from caviar to lobster to an extensive choice of cheese and dessert. Opted for soup and lamb, and was done for the night! While my bed was being lined with a mattress and a duvet, I changed into my jammies, put on my eye mask and slept 'till it was time for breakfast! Had some fruit, yogurt, freshly scrambled eggs and croissants - my favorite! - and I was ready to start my adventure! Thank you Cathay Pacific for an unforgettable experience!

Ready, Jet Set, Go

As you are reading this, I will be jetting off to Paris for my month long exchange program in Lille. Cannot contain my excitement! It has always been a dream to study out of the country. A million thanks to my parents for making this happen! 

With a day stopover in Hong Kong, I grabbed my camera and went around. From shopping to tourist attractions to food, this place is truly something else.

Now, on to another adventure halfway across the world. I cannot wait to immerse myself in the French culture. Time to buy myself a beret! Stay tuned!

Au Naturale

For the past few years, I've been a (trying hard) brunette! But I made a decision to go au naturale. I felt like it was such a drastic change, but I'm getting the hang of it!  

A loyal customer to Bridges Salon in The Gallery, I wouldn't have had my hair done anywhere else. Look for Dolly, she's the best!

Always remember that you are good as you are. You shouldn't allow hair dye or make up to mask who you really are. Nothing beats the original. Be-YOU-tiful. Like the black hair?

Had other plans for today's shoot, but it didn't push through, so I went for a sporty look instead. Something I don't usually go for. Decided on a singlet, jean shorts and red sneakers. A cap was just the right way to finish off the entire look! Perfect way to beat the May weather (a little late, but pun intended)!

Did this on a whim, so was ecstatic that nature cooperated and the colors worked wonderfully together! Happy summer!

Cold Shoulder

Rainy days are lazy days and last Saturday was one of those. Forced to stay indoors because of a brewing storm, the weather didn't stop the party later on. I opted for an off shoulder fitted lace top paired with a flowy pleated skirt.

 Fun fact: This skirt was used by Aria on an episode of Pretty Little Liars!

Finished it off with classic black strappy heels and I was off for a night out with friends!

Buffet Appropriate

To celebrate Paolo's 21st, we lunched at NIU by Vikings at SM Aura. Intentionally skipped breakfast so I could pig out!!! To further prepare for the food invasion, I wore something "buffet appropriate" to ensure that the "food baby" would not be bulging out after the sumptuous spread! Wearing a loose top is a must and I decided to pair mine with shorts. A statement necklace and a belt were added to complete the ensemble. What's your must wear for buffets? Btw, the food was amazing! From the appetizers to their extensive main course choices to the seemingly never ending dessert selection. It was so good we ended up having dinner there too! A definite must try!

Kitten Heels

How does that saying go again? A girl can never have too many shoes? I recently made an out of the blue purchase while I was in Hong Kong. Kitten heels, my new obsession (I have always been partial to flats)! Shopping there never disappoints! I often find myself browsing online in the wee hours of the morning and although I've always known that stilettos can make one's outfit more chic and stylish, I never thought I'd be able to pull off those awfully high heels. So I decided to do it one step at a time. Time to spice things up a bit. What do you think?
