Brussels

My friends and I went on another day trip to Belgium, also known as the "land of waffles". We first visited the European Union's Parliamentarium. It guides the visitors through the journey of European integration and the impact this has on our daily lives. Once inside, we were given electronic devices and earphones so we could watch videos and get more information about the place. It was very interesting since I am majoring in European Studies at university.

Lunch was at one of the restaurants at the Grand Place, but we were more excited to move on to dessert at Dandoy, arguably serving the best waffles this side of Belgium.

No fixed itinerary after lunch, we spent the next few hours visiting the famous Manneken Pis. It is a small bronze fountain sculpture depicting a naked little boy urinating into the fountain's basin. The rest of the day was spent eating, taking photos, walking around and just taking in what the city had to offer.
